Job Description

A well-established accounting services firm located in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an experienced and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong AP knowledge and attention to detail who enjoys working in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process high-volume vendor invoices for multiple clients in a timely and accurate manner

  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents

  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers

  • Maintain vendor records and handle new vendor setup, including W-9 and payment terms verification

  • Reconcile AP subledger to general ledger and assist with month-end closing procedures

  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies professionally

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices

  • Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end reporting

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience

  • Prior experience working in an accounting services or multi-client environment is a plus

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and AP best practices

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks, Bill.com, or other AP platforms preferred

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
